Shihab screenings
The SCA's Nadia Shihab screened her Super 8 film our voices in reverse at in Oakland, California, on March 3, 2024, alongside experimental films made over the past 50 years that speak to a spectrum of women¡¯s issues. The screening was held as a prequel and fundraiser for the upcoming film series. She also screened Sister Mother Lover Child on February 29 at the in Scotland as part of the experimental shorts program "Things you May Find Hidden in my Ear." See more about Shihab and her work .

Art Action Earwig's Pulling To Gather
, the "multidisciplinary performance collective" of SCA alumni , Wryly Andherson, and Tadafumi Tamura, have launched a new "eco-art project" Pulling To Gather, which they say seeks to bring "art and ecological restoration together, mobilizing arts through a series of work parties, community art activities, art installations, teachings from Indigenous story tellers, dialogues with land stewards, farmers, gardeners, scientists, and artists on traditional Snuneymuxw land, Nanaimo." Their first project will involve pulling up , an invasive species in BC, from around Nanaimo's Colliery Dam. Follow for details and more info.
