Channeled through a meditation on the relationship between poet/musician David Berman and his father conservative lobbyist Richard Berman, the work functions as a sculptural altar for asymptotic relations. The work consists of a pyramid of mahjong tiles, which holds a football vertically at its peak. From the four ceiling corners of the cabinet descend four metal chains that at converge the bottom a black obsidian obelisk 1/2 inch above the top of the football.

Curated by Denise Oleksijczuk.
