The is an initiative dedicated to music and healing. This evening performance features six new music commissions presented in eurythmy and contemporary dance on the theme of human migration, social dislocation, and physical displacement. The new works of music and dance hope to inspire and create social architecture through intercultural communication. We hope to develop and affirm greater sense of cultural identity and sense of belonging by redressing the unacknowledged suffering of migrants and immigrants many of whom come from war torn countries and cultures facing extinction, who, on arrival in Canada encounter social marginalization.

The program gives voice to aspects of human suffering that are often silenced. In an effort to heal our humanity the performing arts provide opportunity to give expression to unacknowledged experiences that are often not witnessed or documented. The program is in three parts with new commissions in each: First Nations Voices, European Experiences, and Contemporary Global Rhythms.
