James O’Callaghan wins the ISCM Young Composer Award
Congratulations to composer and sound artist , who completed his BFA in music composition (honours) at the SCA in 2010, for receiving the for 2017.
Supported by and chosen by an international jury drawn from the membership of the , the ISCM Young Composer Award is given yearly to a composer under the age of 35, whose work is also performed in that year's festival. The winner of the award receives a money prize and a commission for a new piece to be performed in a future edition of the ISCM World Music Days.
