Mohammad Al Hannash is a PhD student in the Faculty of Education at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV, Canada. His research interest is multilingualism and academic literacies within the Canadian higher education. Mohammad aims to investigate the complexities in academic literacies within prevailing discourses. In addition, Mohammad has developed an interest in the field of linguistic landscaping to examine how language use and representation in public spaces influence language attitudes, identity formation as well as power dynamics. He attempts to incorporate these insights into his language classes in order to develop students' linguistic awareness and appreciation of language inclusion. In addition, he earned an MEd in Teaching Languages in Global Contexts from ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV, Canada. Mohammad’s academic journey began with a master’s degree in general linguistics from Aleppo University. He developed a comprehensive understanding of linguistic theory and its practical applications.
