Undergraduate Studies | EDUC 311: Foundations in Indigenous Education, Language, and Culture An introduction to Indigenous education in Canada and BC. There will be a critical examination of historical and contemporary issues in education and an exploration of culturally based Indigenous education grounded in Indigenous philosophies. |
Professional Studies | Indigenous Education: Wholistic Teachings and Transformative Pedagogies, GDE (2023) This Indigenous Education themed Graduate Diploma in Education was developed in consultation with Dr. Vicki Kelly, Dr. Paula Rosehart, and members of the Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) and səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation). |
Teacher Education | Indigenous Perspectives Teacher Education Module (IPTEM) The IPTEM module within the Professional Development Program (PDP) focuses on Indigenizing the curriculum, through the inclusion of Indigenous worldviews, knowledge and perspectives and increase awareness of colonizing behaviors and patterns. |
