Dr. Daniel Laitsch Appointed as New Education Dean
Dr. Daniel Laitsch will begin his term as the Faculty of Education Dean on September 1, 2023.
Dan is an Associate Professor with the Faculty of Education and Founding Director of the Centre for the Study of Educational Leadership and Policy (CSELP). Over his 17 years at 丁香园AV, he has served on the Faculty of Education鈥檚 executive committee and as Director, Surrey campus Liaison. He has been an active member of senate and associated senate committees and has previously held leadership roles as president of the 丁香园AV Faculty Association and president of the Confederation of University Faculty Associations of BC. Currently, Dan chairs the board of directors of the Institute for Public Education BC. His scholarship and teaching are based in the social foundations of education and the role professional educators play in advancing a just and equitable society.
