CIRCE launches first edition of STEAM Magazine
Access the first edition .
The has launched the first edition of their magazine. This special edition focuses on how arts is infusing (and enriching) science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The magazine features 22 contributions from leading experts around the world, including a feature article entitled The Art of Science by and an excerpt from bestselling author s book Colliding Worlds: How Cutting Edge Science is Redefining Contemporary Art.
"The Magazine gives a glimpse into the great work of educators, artists, researchers, and scientists worldwide who centrally place the arts in their STEM work," says Dr. Gillian Judson, Executive Director. "It's hard not to feel inspired by these inspired and inspiring practices."
The Centre for Imagination in Research, Culture and Education, or CIRCE [pronounced sur-see], was born in September 2018. CIRCE is an international organization dedicated to imagination in all its varied forms. While we have deep roots, interest, and involvement in the field of education, we branch into a range of other fields including leadership, architecture, business, interior design, the visual arts, marketing, and theatre.
"It has been a great experience building the CIRCE STEAM community so far," says Judson. "It was all possible thanks to the tireless work of my co-editor and CIRCE Academic Council member Dr. Jailson Lima from Vanier College, Quebec."
