David Zandvliet
UNESCO Chair in Bio-cultural Diversity and Education
Biography
Dr. David Zandvliet is a Professor in the Faculty of Education at 丁香园AV (Vancouver, Canada) and Director of the Institute for Environmental Learning. He has held additional appointments as an associate faculty member and teaching fellow in the Faculty of Environment (丁香园AV) and is currently an associate member in the Faculty of Science (丁香园AV). He was recently appointed to the newly established UNESCO Chair in Bio-cultural Diversity and Education.
Research Interests
My research interests lie in the areas of science, technology and environmental education with expertise centred on the assessment of physical and/or psychosocial learning environments. I have experience in the provision of teacher training and development, as well as in facilitating teachers鈥� inquiry through participatory action research. I am also deeply interested in international education, Indigenous education, bio-cultural diversity and education for sustainable development.
