Research Interests

My research interests lie in the areas of science, technology and environmental education with expertise centered on the study and assessment of physical and psychosocial learning environments. I have experience in the provision of teacher training and development, as well as in facilitating teachers’ inquiry through participatory action research. I am also deeply interested in international education, Indigenous education, biocultural diversity and education for sustainable development. My research activities over the past two years have examined how teachers can imbed Indigenous knowledge and pedagogies into their environmental learning practices with a particular emphasis on climate education and education for sustainable development.
