I decided to became a peer mentor because I’m really passionate in education and believe that education can bring positive impacts to people’s life in order to become life-long learners. Faculty of Education in ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV is definitely a great platform for students to pursue their educational goals and become educators of tomorrow. As an education student, I felt that becoming a peer mentor would allow me to make contribution to my faculty, share my experiences and help the new students to connect with the Education community.

What is your best first year memory?

As an international student, my best first year memory was living in ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV residence where I met my first group of friends here in ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV. As we had different background, this gave us the chance to share our experiences and get involved in the university community together.

Words of advice to new students?

¶¡ÏãÔ°AV provides a lot of resources for students, don’t be shy to reach out and we are more than happy to support you! Professors in the education department are really nice and caring!

More importantly, try to step out of your comfort zone and being open to explore new possibilities of yourself. Always remember to keep moving forward on your own journey!

What are you involved in on and off campus?

Apart from being a peer mentor, I also join the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Hong Kong Society as an events director, promoting my culture and sharing my experience are things that I really enjoyed! Also, I’m going to work as a behavioral interventionist (BI) to support children with learning disabilities.
