Survival Countdown (Virtual Reality Game)
By: Jianghui Dai, Andrew Tsui, Teng Pin (Eric) Pan, and Lily Li
Course: IAT 445 Immersive Environments
Project description: The goal of this project is to build a virtual world in which players experience the struggles of surviving in the most primal environment, away from society. Players are introduced to the game objective through an opening cutscene, in which they learn that they have crash-landed on an island and must survive until rescue arrives.
Throughout the game, players will explore the map, collect resources, and craft tools to better explore the map forming a complete gameplay cycle. The core gameplay experience is the significance of time/resource management while surviving alone on the island.
