Since 2007, Ken has been employed as a full-time senior lecturer at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s School of Interactive Art and Technology (SIAT), where he has taught exclusively in the design concentration. His course repertoire has included teaching both lecture and practice-based studios in the subjects of industrial design, graphic design, drawing, digital image design, spatial thinking, as well as a senior capstone course.

Recently, during his sabbatical, Ken was a visiting faculty member at BCIT's MAKE+ Lab which focuses on designing devices for medical applications. Ken has an interest in designing for this emerging field, particularly assistive technology devices for the disabled and elderly using additive manufacturing technology.

Ken also received a teaching and learning grant in 2018 from ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's Institute of Teaching and Learning in the Disciplines. The title of his project is Investigating the impact of introducing foundational physical modelmaking practices on students’ final project in IAT 336- Materials in Design.

Outside of his teaching duties, Ken actively engages in events to promote the department and explore his interest in 3D printing (additive manufacturing) and assistive technology design.
