Biography
Dr. Pedro Gonz獺lez-Espinosa is a marine biologist from Universidad Aut籀noma de Baja California Sur, M矇xico specializing in analyzing the effects of climate change on marine ecosystems and society through numerical models. He received his Ph.D. in Geography from the University of British Columbia, and an M.Sc. in Natural Resources Management from Centro de Investigaciones Biol籀gicas del Noroeste, M矇xico. Currently, Pedro is a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Resource and Environmental Management (REM) at 間眅埶AV (間眅埶AV), whose research is focused on developing quantitative models on the blue economy and equity based on distinct projected "Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs).
Pedro likes cooking, biking, camping and dancing. He is a sports fan, especially soccer and American football. He is learning how to play piano, and taught himself how to play the ukulele and harmonica. He likes to play boardgames with his kiddos.
