Join faculty and colleagues in teaching roles as we launch a new reading circle for the fall term. We’ll meet weekly online for reflection, question and discussion in response to the book: Wayi Wah! Indigenous Pedagogies -An Act for Reconciliation and Anti-Racist Education by Jo Chrona. This group is suitable for those beginning their journey in decolonial teaching as well as those looking to continue on this path with a shared community.

About the Reading Circle

Join fellow instructors from across ԰AV to read and discuss Jo Chrona’s book Wayi Wah! Indigenous Pedagogies An Act for Reconciliation and Anti-Racist Education. Through this group we hope to build support for a community of learning, moving towards and strengthening decolonial teaching practices, both beginning and underway in courses and classrooms in diverse disciplines.

We’ll read a small section of the text each week. Learning will be supported by Canvas with opportunities for asynchronous discussion and resource sharing
