Biography

As an Educational Developer in the Curriculum and Instruction Division, I have the privilege of working with ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV instructors at all stages of their careers – from teaching assistants to tenured professors. In my career, I’ve supported students, tutors, instructors, faculty, and administrators at post-secondary institutions in British Columbia, Alberta, and Yukon, particularly in online environments.

At CEE, I regularly facilitate a variety of different workshops, meet with instructors one-on-one, develop and update resources to support teaching and collaborate with colleagues across campus to create engaging learning opportunities for ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV students.

While my academic training is in Anthropology, English, and Communication, teaching and learning is a family affair. My grandmother began her teaching career in a one-room schoolhouse, my parents were educators in the secondary school system, and my brother and I continue the tradition. I am grateful to Judy Brown who first mentored me and set high expectations about what post-secondary teaching could and should be. I’m thankful to all of the instructors, mentors, peers, students, and friends who have supported my journey.
