Specific procedures
Tools and resources for the safe use of biohazardous materials are provided below, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Guidelines.
As per regulatory requirements, each individual lab or research group must develop and document SOPs for the work conducted in the containment zone. EHS has developed customizable SOP templates for routine operations that individual labs or research groups can edit to document their lab-specific guidelines. In addition, labs must develop and document other SOPs that are specific to the activities of their lab.
All SOPs must be uploaded to the attachment section of the for review by the Institutional Biosafety Committee.
