Traffic Management
Traffic Management is an active process of planning, developing, coordinating, communicating and implementing traffic processes to ensure the safe movement of vehicles, mobile equipment and people. ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Traffic Safety provides for the safe movement of traffic on campus. This includes management of community traffic safety concerns, large-scale campus events, emergency response, traffic enforcement, and ongoing community outreach and education.
As a contractor you are required to communicate and work with ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV to ensure traffic safety is impemented on projects where ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV community will be impacted. Any Traffic Management Plan must be submitted throught the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Contractor Safety Management System for review, alterations, requests and approval.

Required Documentation:
- Traffic Management Plan (TMP)
- A detailed plan that outlines how vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists are managed during any temporary disruption to their normal pathway or roads. The plan is a map/layout of typical BC Traffic Controlling requirements based on site needs, additional ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV requirements and specific procedures to follow on site. All TMP must be reviewed and approved by ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Traffic Safety prior to implementation or alteration of the road, sidewalks or pathways.
