¶¡ÏãÔ°AV is dedicated to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for everyone on campus, including contractors. The sections below outline ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's contractor safety management framework and the specific requirements for high-risk work activities. All contractors are required to thoroughly review and understand the information provided on this webpage.
Site-Specific Safety Plan
A site-specific safety plan (SSSP) is a written and overarching plan that addresses safety as a whole on the job/project at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV.
A SSSP is developed based on the completed risk assessment of the entire project/job. All present and potential hazaards and risks will be identified. Control measures will be determined and utilized in the project/job. Finally workers in the site will be trained to follow the control measures prior to starting their work. The SSSP must include the completed risk assessment as part of the plan.
SSSP are required for all jobs or projects at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV and they must be applicable to the work and ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV.
SSSP must be regularly reviewed to ensure the plan is applicable to the job/project as the different stages of the work is completed to ensure workers and the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV community is protected for the entire duration of the job/project.
