Description: Transit users frequently miss buses or trains due to insufficient notifications about arrival times, transit connection times, and unexpected delay updates. Available transit navigation solutions are often unreliable and inaccurate. This leads to excessive wait times at stations and stops, negatively affecting the rider’s transit experience. We’re not going to be able to make buses arrive on time. However, we can make accurate schedules more accessible to improve the waiting experience.

Compass+ is an upgraded fare card that provides real-time notifications through haptic feedback. Integrated with a supplementary app, Compass+ delivers updates on the bus schedule to the user at different time intervals. Users can sync their routes to receive updates on their transit schedules.

Compass+ offers a seamless and stress-free transit experience aimed to help many types of users be informed at all times throughout their travel to their destination. Compass+ eliminates the need to constantly check your phone, saving phone battery, by providing haptic feedback and a clear digital display providing all the necessary information needed. Compass+ is a smarter, more efficient way to navigate Vancouver's robust transit system.
