Course: IAT 334 Interface Design
Description: The cases of wildfire is increasing rapidly in Canada, resulting in significant economic and environmental losses. Both BC residents and government are seeking preventable strategies to reduce the property damage cased by wildfire.
HomeCheck is an app that aims to educate residents about wildfire safety and encourage them to take active preventive measures for their homes which is done through personalized assessments based on FireSmartBC guidelines. It integrated AI to analyze user-taken photos to check the ignition resistance of BC residents’ property and provide an interactive report to keep track of their data. It also provides valuable research for BC government officials to make targeted evacuation strategies.
