Doggo Dash
Game
By: Mahla Aghapour
Course: IAT 167 Digital Games: Genre, Structure, Programming and Play
Description: In 'Doggo Dash', player take on the role of Buddy, an eager Yorkie on a mission to find bone treats in his neighbourhood. This platformer game unfolds across three levels of increasing difficulty. Along the way, Buddy faces challenges like poisonous avocados and deadly chocolate. As levels progress, the number of avocados increases and encounters with chocolate boss enemies become more frequent, making it harder for Buddy to navigate through enemies. Player must collect all bone treats within a specific time frame to advance to the next level. Failing to do so, or losing all health, results in a game over. As the designer and coder of this platformer game, my goal was to create a gameplay experience that emphasizes quick reflexes, a sense of caution and is full of excitement.
