SIAT's Philippe Pasquier recognized with best paper award

SIAT associate professor Philippe Pasquier and co-writer Notto J.W. Thelle, a researcher at the Norwegian Academy of Music and collaborator of the Metacreation Lab for Creative AI, have been recognized with the best paper award at the 2021 International Conference on New Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME).

The paper "Spire Muse: A Virtual Musical Partner for Creative Brainstorming" is a study on a co-creative musical agent that engages in different kinds of interactive behaviours.

The paper was published at the  preceedings which took place at NYU Shanghai from June 14-18, 2021.
