Bioinformatics & Genomics
Research areas include cancer genomics, personalized medicine, comparative analyses, model organism, and microbial genomics and bioinformatics. Integrated genomics, bioinformatics, and systems biology approaches are developed and used.
Brinkman Lab
Microbe-loving bioinformatics and genomics research lab, aiming to better control infectious diseases and associated immune disorders in a sustainable way.

Chen Lab
My laboratory is interested in developing bioinformatics programs and genomics (and molecular) tools for understanding genome architecture and expression.
Holt Lab
The main focus in our lab (located at the BC Cancer Research Institute) is understanding and potentiating the anti-cancer immune response.

Hsiao Lab
The Centre for Infectious Disease Genomics and One Health at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV is an interdisciplinary group of researchers interested in solving practical health problems using multidisciplinary approaches and in a One Health framework.
Lee Lab
Systems biology of infectious diseases lab, aiming to develop mechanistic insights to the complex interface of host-pathogen interactions that can lead to impactful solutions.
Morin Lab
Recent advances to DNA sequencing technology allow us to determine the genome sequence of an individual, tumour, or single cell in one experiment.
Pio Lab
Our main research interest is on inflammation and cell death processes and characterizing the molecular events that lead to their activation in specific conditions such as microbial infection, and chronic diseases.
Quarmby Lab
Summertime blooms of microalgae on snow cause "watermelon snow." We use the tools of genomics, bioinformatics, ecology and cell biology to study the algae, fungi, bacteria and other organisms comprising the the snow algae microbiome
