Shari Virjee Tañada

Shari has several years' experience as an educational consultant in Canada and Asia, facilitating experiential learning to a wide range of audiences, collaborating on transformational projects and delivering meaningful outcomes.

With the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, Shari served as Program Coordinator for the Semester in Dialogue: The Future of Healthcare. Prior to this, she served as a Justice, Equity, and Inclusion Strategist for Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), providing ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV undergraduate and graduate students a professional learning opportunity to discuss equity, diversity and inclusion issues in their work and learning contexts. She now works with Fraser Health Authority (beside ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Surrey campus) serving as EDI Education Facilitator within the EDI/Diversity Services division.

Among other things, Shari is enthusiastic about media literacy, multiliteracies pedagogy, and how we can teach technology to learn.

Shari holds a BA in Sociology and Master of Educational Technology from UBC, and is an alumnus of the Asia Pacific Management Cooperative Program (apmcp) from Capilano University.
