Biography
Shaghayegh is a Ph.D. student in the Educational Theory and Practice program at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Faculty of Education. With a decade of experience spanning research, curriculum development, teaching, and teacher education, they have led professional learning communities and guided teachers in action research projects, as well as facilitated participatory action research projects in community contexts. Committed to decolonial and community-engaged methodologies, Shaghayegh's research centers on identity, language, and multilingual mother-tongue-based education, with a particular interest in biographical storytelling by rural teachers. She holds a master's degree in Learning and Teaching from Harvard University and their diverse education journey across Iran, the US, Poland, and Indonesia brings an international perspective to her work as a research assistant for Transforming Inquiry into Learning and Teaching (TILT).
