Local makers shine in ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s annual product entrepreneur competition

This year's #MadeBy¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Competition attracted a record number of diverse ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV makers from across the community! Due to COVID-19, the annual event was held virtually on November 19. Read more about the event and the winners of this year's competition at the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV News story below!

¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Spirit Shop Purchase Order: Charlie & Paisley, Papermain, Kitten Komforts
¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Innovates Prize: Recreative Apparel
¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Alumni Association Prize: Aquila Soaps, Pajeon Pals
Top Fan Favourite Award: Charlie & Paisley
Fan Favourite First Runner-up: For the Seconds Jewelry
Fan Favourite Second Runner-up: Papermain
Pop culture and pun-infused greeting card company, Papermain won a purchase order from the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Spirit Store. The card designs are all illustrated by School of Communication alumnus Nan Maung.
Soap company Kitten Komforts received a purchase order as well. Company co-founder Justine Munich is an ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV physics PhD student who combined her love for science and skincare and began making artisan soaps.
Slow fashion brand, Charlie & Paisley won a purchase order from the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Spirit Store for its sustainable hair products, which are handmade in Vancouver from natural and biodegradable fabrics such as silk noil and organic cotton. Photo: Rebecca Benoit
