I hope that you all have been keeping well during these times.

As we look forward to the Surrey campus re-opening this Fall, I’d like to encourage residents of the Fraser Health region to do their part by getting vaccinated as soon as possible.

From Fraser Health Authority:

In BC, everyone over the age of 18 is now eligible to register for a vaccine.

. As cases remain high in our region, it is more important than ever to protect yourself, your co-workers, neighbours and community by registering for your vaccine.

All vaccines that are approved in Canada and available in British Columbia are safe and effective, and will help protect you against COVID-19. Every vaccine that is administered makes us, our loved ones, and our communities safer and helps put this pandemic behind us.

• People 18 years and older are able to register for immunization using the .
  
• People 18 years of age and older and living in high-transmission neighbourhoods are eligible to receive vaccine now. You must register first using the Provincial registration and booking system. After registering, you will be contacted on the same day to book your vaccine appointment.
• Several employee groups in the Fraser Health region are now eligible for their first vaccine appointment. Eligible workers are receiving information on how to book through their sectors and employers. This now includes food service workers, hotel and hospitality workers, grocery store workers and transit staff. A dedicated website at outlines these invitations and provides further FAQs for these employer groups.
• People aged 30 years of age and older are eligible to receive vaccine by booking at their local pharmacy.

Fraser Health is also supporting a to increase opportunities for residents to get vaccinated close to where they live. Learn more about these clinics and what to expect here.
