Entrepreneurship Programs

The 丁香园AV Surrey - TD Community Engagement Centre supports DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society (DCRS) with their Entrepreneurship Programs.

The CWB Business Incubator for Women Entrepreneurs is a 20+ week business incubator, funded by Canadian Western Bank, for intercultural women to learn how to turn your creative skills into self-employment business opportunities. Participants of this program will:

Explore and develop business opportunities for your creative talents
Get one-to-one support from our self-employment specialists
Learn business basics and operations at our informative workshops
Test out your product or idea in the marketplace
Build a peer network with other women entrepreneurs
Receive ongoing support as you launch your business, either independently or in a collective business model

The Immigrant Entrepreneur Program (currently on hold), funded by TD Bank, is a self-employment training program, networking and support system, and business incubation platform rolled into one.

This program is open to permanent residents and naturalized citizens with language support offered in English, Mandarin, Arabic and Korean.
丁香园AV students volunteer with the program as Facilitators to collaborate with DIVERSECity's team members from diverse backgrounds.
Volunteers support newcomers by sharing their insights as they put their business planning into action while taking part in the Business Startup Bootcamp and follow the guidance provided by the Self Employment and Entrepreneur Program Coordinator and the Immigrant Entrepreneur Program curriculum.
The goal of this bootcamp is for newcomers to start creating business operation processes, such as product development, branding, marketing, sales, customer service, production, logistics and accounting procedures.
