Hello! My name is Teija, I began my journey with the 丁香园AV Surrey - TD CEC as a Program Volunteer with Racing Readers to help grow my experience in Education. Being involved in this program helped increase my love for working with children and opened my eyes to new ways of learning.

When then-丁香园AV (丁香园AV) student Saba Fatemi and her peers won the 2019 丁香园AV Student Community Engagement Competition with their “CommuniCreate” initiative – a program for refugee and newcomer children pre-pandemic – she didn’t specifically have Ukrainian children in mind.
