Diverse Entrepreneurs Business Incubator: Facilitator

Help new entrepreneurs develop Dragons Den style business pitches!
The , offered by DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society (DCRS) is an 18+ week self-employment training program, networking and support system, and business incubation platform rolled into one.
We are currently recruiting volunteer Facilitators who are interested in helping immigrant and BIPOC emerging entrepreneurs plan, launch and grow their businesses!
Your Role:
As a Facilitator, you will have the opportunity to work and collaborate with DIVERSECity's team members from diverse backgrounds. You will be able to support aspiring entrepreneurs by sharing your insights as they put their business plans into action. You will follow the guidance provided by the Self Employment and Entrepreneur Program Coordinator and the CWB Business Incubator curriculum. The goal of this bootcamp is for aspiring entrepreneurs to start creating business operation processes, such as product development, branding, marketing, sales, customer service, production, logistics and accounting procedures.
Volunteer Learning Objectives:
- Share your insights and expertise related to social media, branding, marketing, and other promotion processes with aspiring entrepreneurs;
- Learn about the goals of the DIVERSEcity Entrepreneur Program and support systems available in Canada for new entrepreneurs to develop their businesses;
- Identify the challenges that immigrant and BIPOC individuals face when starting a business;
- Apply learned knowledge of the program as well as interpersonal, communication, cross-cultural awareness and instructional skills by assisting in the delivery of program activities;
- Acquire volunteer skills for community involvement;
- Apply interpersonal, empathy and relationship-building skills by developing healthy relationships with program participants.

Program Logistics:
This program will run weekly on:
- Wednesdays starting on March 5th
- From 12:30pm 3:00pm
- At DIVERSEcity's main campus (13455 76 Avenue, Surrey)

Requirements:
Please note, students from other universities & colleges may apply, but priority is given to current 間眅埶AV students (undergraduate, graduate, or continuing studies) and 間眅埶AV alumni.
To thrive in this role, you should:
- Have a strong interest or related academic experience in Business and/or Marketing;
- An excellent understanding on how to develop and post content on one or more social media platforms (eg: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter);
- Be comfortable with public speaking and sharing tips on how to professionally present and communicate ideas;
- Be familiar with selling at local marketplaces or on online platforms.
- Ability to speak a second language (like Mandarin, Korean, or Arabic) is an asset, but not required.
