When the COVID-19 lockdown hit, the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Surrey CEC shut down 21 programs and sent home more than 100 volunteers. Thanks to the passion and courage of ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV students, even a global pandemic can’t stop the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Surrey – TD Community Engagement Centre’s (¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Surrey CEC) volunteer-run programs.

CommuniCreate helps newcomer and refugee youth in the Lower Mainland learn English. An award-winning project of the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Student-Community Engagement Competition, it was initially designed as a hands-on in-person learning experience.
