Choosing to study in French at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV means having access (sometimes exclusively) to a multitude of awards and bursaries that can cover a part of your university fees.
Read the following sections to discover all your options and keep in mind that you can apply for multiple awards and bursaries at the same time. Remember that you may also be eligible for and .
Apply before you enter ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV
OFFA offers two awards worth $500 to grade 12 graduates who have been newly admitted to the French Cohort Program in Public and International Affairs.
WHEN TO APPLY?
In grade 12: until May 31

The Fédération des francophones de la Colombie-Britannique (FFCB) and the Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs (OFFA) offer two $1,000 bursaries each year to graduates of the Programme francophone or French immersion in BC. At least one of the two bursaries is awarded to a student who plans to continue his/her studies at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV and take courses in French. These scholarships are intended to reward involvement in French within the high school and the Francophone community.
WHEN TO APPLY?
In grade 12: until May 10
OFFA and ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s Department of French offer two $2,500 bursaries as part of the National Essay Contest organized by French for the Future.
WHEN TO PARTICIPATE?
Grades 10, 11 and 12: between October and December

Bursaries intended for students whose first official language spoken is English and who are studying full-time at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV in a program taught in French.

Bursary offered by the Ministry of Education and Child Care of British Columbia to students studying at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV full-time in a program offered primarily in French. The amount of the bursary is $625 per term, up to a maximum of $1,250 per year and is capped at a maximum of $5,000 per student.

At the beginning of each term: September and January

Bursary offered by the Ministry of Education and Child Care of British Columbia to B.C. certified teachers or teachers practicing with a letter of permission, who are enrolled in a graduate program in education that is taught primarily in French at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV. Maximum amount per lifetime for each student is $5000, all programs included.

At the beginning of each semester: in September and January

Bursary offered by the Ministry of Education and Child Care of British Columbia to B.C. teachers of French-language education programs who take courses, attend seminars or enrol in professional development programs to improve their pedagogical and linguistic skills in French. Several non-credit programs in ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s Faculty of Education, such as the FrancoFUN Weeks and the annual conference J'enseigne en français, are eligible for this bursary.

After registering for the training, before February 28
