¶¡ÏãÔ°AV recognizes the academic achievement of outstanding students from around the world by devoting more than $500 million annually to awards, scholarships, and other forms of financial support for undergraduate students - both domestic and international.

Applied Sciences Scholarships & Awards

The Faculty of Applied Sciences provides bespoke scholarships, awards, and bursaries to our students each term. These awards are provided through the generosity of thousands of individuals, businesses, and community organizations who want to invest in the success of ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's students.

Students on co-op during the term the scholarship/award is offered are not eligible to apply.

The CS Diversity Award recognizes student project and research work in the School of Computing Science towards achieving inclusion, diversity, equity, and justice (EDIJ) in Computing Science Research, Educational, and Professional Practices.

Stolte Family Undergraduate Entrance Scholarship in Sustainable Energy Engineering (SEE) 

Created to help attract dynamic students to the SEE program, and to transform their university experience, this new entrance scholarship was established with a generous donation from ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV alumnus Christopher Stolte and his wife Heidi in 2024. The value of this renewable scholarship will have a significant impact on recipients by covering the costs of ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV tuition, books and other expenses for the duration of their undergraduate degree in SEE.  

How To Apply

HOW TO APPLY 

To be considered for the Stolte Family Undergraduate Entrance Scholarship in Sustainable Energy Engineering, students must complete the online ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarships (USES) program. 

For admission in fall 2025, students must complete the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV USES application by December 15, 2024.

Eligibility

ELIGIBILITY 

The Stolte Family Undergraduate Entrance Scholarship in SEE will be granted annually in the fall term to an undergraduate student who meets the following criteria: 

  • are Canadian citizens or permanent residents; 
  • are entering ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV from a secondary school with grades in the 90% range or 31 International Baccalaureate (IB) points in courses required for their selected program; 
  • are admitted into a bachelor’s degree program in the School of Sustainable Engineering; and are registered in at least 12 standard graded units at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV in the term of eligibility.  

Award Value: $50,000

Checklist Before You Apply

Check if you meet the eligibility criteria for:

Scholarships

  • Have completed a minimum of 12 units at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV
  • Be enrolled in at least 12 academic units in the term the scholarship is offered.*
  • Have a minimum CPGA of 3.5 at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV

Awards

  • Be enrolled in at least 9 academic units in the term the award is offered*
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV (waived in your first term at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV), and be in good academic standing

* 6 unit minimum allowed for students registered with the Centre for Accessible Learning.

** Students in their first semester at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV may be eligible to waive the CGPA requirement for specific awards dependent on the terms of reference.

Entrance Scholarships, Awards, and Bursaries

¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarships (Values range from $10,000 up to an amount sufficient to cover tuition and mandatory supplementary fees. Further funding, in the form of a living allowance, may be offered to support exceptionally talented students with demonstrated financial need.)

¶¡ÏãÔ°AV offers additional non-faculty specific scholarships, awards and bursaries for continuing ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV students. Domestic and international students can apply for these opportunities each term.
