Inspire the next generation of tech leaders through experiential learning
You can inspire K-12 students across the Lower Mainland to pursue education and career opportunities in STEAM. The Faculty of Applied Sciences’ Outreach Program Science AL!VE engages more than 10,000 youth every year in hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Design, Mathematics) programs to build measurable skills and improve self-confidence. Programming includes summer camps, weekend clubs, online workshops and resources for teachers.
Aligned with ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Faculty of Applied Sciences’ mandate, we aim to dispel stereotypes in the field of science and engineering and work towards achieving diversity and inclusion. We work to empower those traditionally underrepresented groups in STEAM by developing barrier-free programs for girls, under-served youth and Indigenous communities. You can learn more about Science AL!VE and see currently available programming .
Together, we can ignite a passion for science and engineering in students from K-12 and ensure that every young person has equitable access to critical STEAM programs.
