Student must complete the online form for course waivers, enrollment requests, etc.
Students must complete the online to seek permission to repeat a course for the third time or five total repeats.
DIRECTED STUDIES AND SPECIAL PROJECT LAB COURSES
Students interested in taking Directed Studies and Special Project Lab courses should complete and attach this form as a cover page with your course/project proposal and other detailed documentations required as listed in the form. Completed form and proposal should be submitted to the Undergraduate Program Assistant for processing. Once your course/project proposal is approved by UCC, you will be registered in the course.
Normally, with permission of UCC Chair, students are allowed one (1) Directed Studies/Special Project Lab course to count toward Technical Studies Elective requirement.
A final report, using this title page template, must be submitted for approval by the UCC Chair before a passing grade will be processed.
THESIS REGISTRATION and THESIS DEFENSE APPROVAL FORMS
Students must complete the following prior to registration:
- Identify your three committee members
- Complete the MSE 498_Registration_Form
- Fill in the form and have it signed by your academic supervisor and technical supervisor
- Return the form to the Undergraduate Program Assistant in the MSE office, who will manually register you for the course
Please note that your technical supervisor must identify whether or not your project is confidential and indicate how long the proposal must remain confidential. The period of confidentiality cannot extend beyond two years after the project is completed.
Before booking a room for your undergraduate thesis defense, complete the Thesis Defense Approval form and submit it, along with your thesis, to your Academic Supervisor.
Once you have obtained his or her signature and have completed all revisions specified on the form, submit the signed form to the Undergraduate Program Assistant to arrange a time and room for your defense.
