¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Surrey COVID-19 Update - November 18, 2020
COVID-19 Updates – ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Surrey
Please note the following changes to access of the Surrey campus effective immediately:
- Building access: While access to SRYC and SRYE remains open to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV staff, faculty, and students who produce ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV ID, effectively immediately both buildings will be closed between 10:30 PM and 7:30 AM.
- Team room access: Team rooms at both SRYC and SRYE will be closed 24/7 until further notice.
- Essential work and research: The only group granted afterhours access to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Surrey are those engaged in essential work and essential research (grad students, faculty, etc.). Upon arrival, please sign in at the security desk with your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV ID.
We understand that these are challenging times, and we want you to know that your health and safety are extremely important to us. Please help us in creating a safe environment and stop the spread of COVID-19. Thank you foÂr your patience and cooperation.
Currently, . During this time, it is recommended that you refrain from coming to campus if it is not required. If you do decide to come to an ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV campus:
- As of November 12, all faculty, staff and students are required to conduct a daily Active Health Screening before visiting campus by using the BC Government's . If you answer "yes" to any question, including having just one symptom, do not travel to campus and instead seek medical advice by calling 8-1-1.
- It is expected that ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV community members and visitors wear non-medical masks in all indoor common areas on our campuses.
Campus security as well as the COVID-19 Safety Ambassador Teams (CATs) patrol both SRYC and SRYE regularly to provide information and reminders about COVID-19 safety measures.
