Love at First Bite Cooking Contest
Win 1 of 2 $40 Gift Cards
Send us a cooking video of what you’re making for your loved ones, your friends, (or just yourself) for Valentine’s Day!
We have two divisions - one for residents with stove and kitchen, one for residents with no stove, just microwave, toasters, blenders and fridge, must be filmed in common spaces, not inside your room.
- Film yourself making the food, we need to see you in the video
- Submit it to rescmns@sfu.ca by Wednesday, February 14 @11:59PM
- If you have difficulty being in front of the camera while you cook, film a shot of you waving to the camera in the beginning
- No need to include the whole process, just show us the steps like a cooking tutorial video and film the final product
- Please film in portrait, as we will be sharing the winner’s video on Instagram
- Judging Criteria: Creativity, Presentation of food, Quality of video
- Submit your video to rescmns@sfu.ca by February 14, 11:59pm.

Super Bowl - Strike A Pose And Score Big
Score big for your team by sending us a photo of you wearing your favorite sports jersey, OR an outfit that you would wear to watch Super Bowl to support your team.
- Participants are required to submit a photo of themselves wearing a sports jersey or an outfit representing their favourite team.

Practice Shared Washroom Etiquette
Please practice proper washroom etiquette, as the washrooms are a common space to be shared with others. This includes keeping the area clean by wiping down areas after use, flushing only toilet paper down the toilets, and disposing of all other garbage into their appropriate garbage bins, and also reporting any maintenance issues on MyPlace@¶¡ÏãÔ°AV.

Responding to Crisis: Naloxone Training and Overdose Awareness Workshop

Join DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Surrey Campus for this workshop to enhance your understanding of substance use in Canada. With ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Campus Public Safety and guest speakers from the Fraser Health Overdose Outreach Team, you will learn how to administer and receive a naloxone kit - a life-saving medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid (for example, fentanyl) overdose. Refreshments will be provided.
