Living in residence can be an exciting and transformative experience. As a first-year student adjusting to the demands of university life can be challenging, the steps outlined below will allow you to make the most of your residence experience and set yourself up for success.
1. Activate your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV account
Your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Computing ID is your digital key to access ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's technology services such as Wi-fi, your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Email, go¶¡ÏãÔ°AV (course registration, tuition payment), Canvas, Computer labs, online library databases, and more.
By taking these steps, you can set yourself up for success and ensure that you have everything you need to make the most of your time at university.
2. CHECK YOUR ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV EMAIL REGULARLY
Once you have your computing ID, you can log into your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV email. All emails from Residence & Housing are sent to your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV email, so make a habit of checking this inbox on a regular basis. This will ensure that you stay informed of all the latest news and information, as well as reminders for important dates and events.
3. UPDATE YOUR SIN NUMBER ON YOUR GO¶¡ÏãÔ°AV ACCOUNT
Your personal information should always be up to date, including your Social Insurance Number (SIN) card. Your SIN card is an important document that is required for tax purposes and other official transactions. Be sure to update your SIN card with your current information as soon as possible to avoid any complications in the future. .
4. UPDATE YOUR MEAL PLAN INFORMATION
Setting up your Meal Plan requires your ID card and student number. Visit the Front Desk to ensure that the student number and barcode on your card match your student portal profile. Visit the Residence and Housing front desk to make any adjustments to your plan, or to solve any issues you may have.
