Pecunia Research Group

Human Ocular Imaging

The Pecunia Research Group Sustainable Optoelectronics is a multidisciplinary research group investigating environmentally friendly, printable semiconductors for optoelectronics and photovoltaics. The group was founded in 2016 and is led by Dr. Vincenzo Pecunia.

The Pecunia Research Group is based at the School of Sustainable Energy Engineering (SEE) of 間眅埶AV, Canada. The group has a wide range of state-of-the-art experimental facilities for materials and device preparation as well as characterization.

Areas of Research

Their research is at the intersection of physics, materials science, and electronics engineering. It involves the investigation and conditioning of the optoelectronic properties of environmentally friendly, printable materials such as organic semiconductors, lead-free perovskite derivatives, amorphous metal-oxide semiconductors, and carbon nanotubes. In addition, Pecuina Research Group investigates the application of these materials for easy-to-make optoelectronic devices such as thin-film transistors, solar cells, and photodetectors. By gaining a detailed understanding of their optoelectronic and device properties, they seek to rationally realize the full potential of these semiconductors for green optoelectronics and sustainable energy.
