First-year engineering students develop innovative solutions for their cornerstone projects
Our first-year engineering science students have put their engineering knowledge into practice for their cornerstone projects.
For their final assignment of the term, students from ENSC 100W were tasked with designing innovative solutions to tackle real-world challenges in our community. They then showcased and demonstrated their creative designs to the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV community. Projects included accessibility and mobility solutions, as well as innovations for kitchen tools, traffic light systems and transportation.
The ENSC 100W course explores the history of engineering, its changing relationship to the sciences, and its effects upon society. The program also examines the ethical and environmental implications of engineering choices.
