CONNECTING TO ON-CAMPUS COMPUTERS REMOTELY

Remote desktop connections are a convenient way to connect to on-campus computers (such as an office PC or Mac) from a remote computer (such as a business laptop at home).

MFA and ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV VPN are required to access remote desktop:

  1. Be signed in to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's virtual private network (¶¡ÏãÔ°AV VPN) before connecting to an on-campus computer.
  2. Ensure your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV account is enrolled in multi-factor authentication (MFA).

¶¡ÏãÔ°AV faculty, staff and graduate students are able to remotely connect to on-campus managed Windows computers by using ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's Virtual Private Network and Microsoft's Remote Desktop Protocol.

This is a convenient way to:

  • Remotely log in to on-campus managed Windows computers from a Mac or PC.
  • Access software and files from office workstations.
  • Connect with other on-campus resources (such as shared-drives and printers).
