At ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV (¶¡ÏãÔ°AV) and the Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs (OFFA), we work every day to promote French on our campuses and in the community.

In this newsletter, you will find some ideas for celebrating, discovering, and living the Francophonie, here in British Columbia, today and beyond.

The equivalent in French of My Three Minutes Thesis, this western final competition will be hosted by Julie Carpentier, a journalist at Radio-Canada.

Amateur artists are invited to perform in front of an audience during this Open Mic Night. The amateur performances will be followed by a concert by Narcisse, an electropop band from Québec.

WHERE IT'S HAPPENING IN FRENCH

Did you know ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV is the only university in British Columbia that offers you a variety of courses and programs taught in French at the undergraduate and graduate levels? Whether you are fully bilingual or speak "juste un petit peu" French, many options are available to reach the next level. 

OFFA and its partners offer a variety of services and opportunities to support and enrich the academic journey of our students and provide them with an outstanding university experience in French. 

Throughout the year, our team organizes events in French, or in both of Canada’s official languages, to promote Francophone cultures here at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV and within the community. 

The ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs' team.

The Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs ' mission is to coordinate, promote and support the development of programs and courses offered in French at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV. It also organizes scientific and cultural activities in the community to stimulate the development of a plural and inclusive Francophonie.

Katie Pinter, a final-year student in the French Cohort Program in Public and International Affairs, chose to pursue her studies in French at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV.
