building a connected campus with ms teams
Kailash Srinivasan
Imagine a workspace where you can connect with your colleagues instantly, share ideas and collaborate seamlessly—that’s what MS Teams has brought to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV. Since its launch in October 2021, Teams has greatly improved how we work together.
The adoption of Microsoft Teams (MS Teams), part of the M365 suite, marked an important early step in ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s digital transformation journey. ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV IT initiated this modernization effort in response to the community's needs, laying the foundation to support evolving academic, research, and administrative requirements.
Whether you're new to Teams or looking to explore its full potential, the tool can enhance productivity, improve collaboration and contribute to a more connected ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV community.
Some key features of MS Teams include:
Unified collaboration platform
MS Teams brings together various communication and collaboration tools in one place, allowing you to chat, meet, share files and collaborate without having to switch between different applications.
Improved integration with ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV mail
With our recent move to Exchange Online, Teams offers even better integration with ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Mail. This includes seamless sharing of calendars and meetings, along with easier access to your files stored across Microsoft 365 applications directly from the platform
Bringing teams together
Microsoft Teams streamlines teamwork by providing a central hub for teams to share documents, chat and hold virtual meetings. It offers custom channels for discussions, integrates with commonly used apps, and supports personalized notifications to suit hybrid and remote work environments.
Secure and compliant
MS Teams is a secure and IT-compliant communication tool. It protects sensitive information and maintains data privacy per ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV IT's policies, ensuring your data remains confidential and protected.
Collaborate from anywhere
Microsoft Teams is available as an app for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and web browsers. So, you can collaborate and stay connected—whether you're in the office, working remotely, or on the go.
