Launched in August 2024, ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's 2024-2027 IT Plan is the first institution-wide IT strategy aligning cybersecurity, technology, and IT services to support teaching, learning, and work across the university. The plan, along with the implementation plan, outlines our framework and initiatives to enhance ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's IT infrastructure and services, ensuring we meet the evolving needs of the university community.
The digital environment is evolving rapidly, and ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV is committed to staying ahead of the curve. Our IT Plan addresses key challenges and opportunities, ensuring sustainability and continuous improvement. These challenges include increased cyber threats, demand for flexibility, rising IT costs, community expectations and rapid technological change.
STRATEGIC THEMES
The IT Plan was developed through a comprehensive consultation process with the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV community and an external environmental scan. This research provided a cross-institutional perspective of ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s specific IT requirements, addressing existing gaps while leveraging new technologies. The IT Plan is accompanied by an implementation plan that identifies specific actions that will be taken to execute the strategy. Themes include:
Sustainable Operations
We leverage core systems, infrastructure, and the expertise of skilled IT staff to support the university in achieving operational effectiveness while keeping the costs sustainable.
Available Data
We improve the availability of reliable data across ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV, supported by a resilient digital network and data center services, enhanced data governance and security.
Usable Technology
We make technology accessible and easy for everyone to understand and use.
STRATEGIC INITIATIVES
¶¡ÏãÔ°AV School of Medicine IT Systems
Implementing and supporting IT systems to meet the needs of the new medical school.
Replacement of Supercomputer CEDAR
Upgrading high-performance computing clusters to support advanced research across various fields, ensures faster, more efficient computing.
Artificial Intelligence
Leveraging and managing AI responsibly to benefit students, faculty, staff, and researchers.
Together, we will continue to advance ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s institutional priorities, continue to meet the university community's IT needs, and further our digital transformation journey.
