Mechatronic Systems Engineering doctoral student in the

I am a Ph.D. student in the School of Mechatronic Systems Engineering (MSE) at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV. My B.Sc and M.Sc degrees are in Electrical engineering. I graduated from QIAU (Qazvin Islamic Azad University), a private university, which is host to the best robotics laboratories in Iran. Throughout my B.Sc and M.Sc I've been working in the different robotics labs and I have gained knowledge and experience through classes, laboratory projects, research, and real-world practice that have prepared me for success in my future endeavors. Since 2017, I was the head of the Advanced Mobile Robotics Lab at QIAU, and working beside a group of expert people helped me to experience lots of challenges in robotics. Designing and manufacturer several rescue robots for disaster response, participating in world robotics competitions and several championships in these competitions alongside expert people at AMRL were part of my experience over the past 10 years. Generally, I have a problem-solving personality and always I try to be realistic and optimistic when I face difficulties in my life. My research interests include but are not limited to path planning, machine learning, and robotic perception.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?

I chose ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV because it has an outstanding reputation in Mechatronic Systems Engineering and strong robotics Research Group. I was also very interested in the research performed by my supervisor, Dr. Siamak Arzanpour.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR RESEARCH OR YOUR PROGRAM TO A FAMILY MEMBER?

Robotics is the future, and using robots will help people to have a better life. During my Ph.D. at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV, my focus will be on exoskeleton robots. these wearable robots can help Paralyzed People Walk Again and improve the lives of people with limited or no hand mobility.

WHAT ARE YOU PARTICULARLY ENJOYING ABOUT YOUR STUDIES/RESEARCH AT ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV?

The research atmosphere, talented professors, and good friends. I think I need to learn a lot from them.

HAVE YOU BEEN THE RECIPIENT OF ANY MAJOR OR DONOR-FUNDED AWARDS? IF SO, PLEASE TELL US WHICH ONES AND A LITTLE ABOUT HOW THE AWARDS HAVE IMPACTED YOUR STUDIES AND/OR RESEARCH.
