We offer a joint major in Health Sciences (BA) and Philosophy for students who are interested in the study of bioethics, and the philosophy and history of health sciences.
Students pursuing a joint major in Philosophy and Health Sciences will develop solid foundations in ethical theory, epistemology, metaphysics, and the history of philosophy, combined with a grounding in health-related knowledge with an emphasis on applied ethics in health and the philosophy and history of health science.
Graduates of this degree will be well-prepared to move on to:
- Graduate studies in a number of areas including bioethics, philosophy, and public health
- Careers that intersect with health ethics and the philosophy of science
