Why Health Sciences?

Our students

The fact that we're able to explore so many different areas of health has inspired me, and made me consider possibly combining different areas in my future career aspirations.

Our Research

FHS helps shape health policy in real-time—and you can be a part of our research community during your undergraduate studies. Our students have the opportunity to work closely with faculty in research settings, gaining relevant skills and valuable experience for their CVs.

Our interdisciplinary approach provides a broad perspective into health sciences. We also have several research challenge areas, where ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV faculty are tackling difficult issues in interdisciplinary teams:

  • Big data
  • Developmental trajectories
  • Infectious diseases
  • Mental health and substance use
  • Planetary health
  • Policy and systems research

Co-operative Education

Co-op students explore their career options by alternating between study semesters and paid, resume-boosting work semesters. Co-op students graduate with real-world work experience and an advantage over the competition.

Look for opportunities that will push you to grow not just professionally but also personally, as you will feel much more confident in yourself and what you want to do with your career.
