Remotely access your files
Instructions to remotely access your personal drive from off-campus.
Microsoft Windows 7
1. Go to "Computer" located on the start menu or "Computer" in File Explorer.
2. Click on "Map network place"
3. Click on "Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures."
3. Click Next. Click on "Choose a custom network location". Click Next
4. Enter the following address in "Internet or network address" field and click Next:
https://fhs-file.fhs.sfu.ca/Users/<YOUR_¶¡ÏãÔ°AV_COMPUTING_ID>
5. Enter your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV computing ID as the user name and your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV computing password.
6. Check off "Remember my credentials" and click OK.
7. Type in a descriptive name to name the network location (eg. FHS Personal Drive) and click Next and Finish
Microsoft Windows 8/10
1. In File Explorer, click on "This PC"
2. Click on "Add a Network Location"
3. Click on Next twice
4. Enter the following address in "Internet or network address" field and click Next:
https://fhs-file.fhs.sfu.ca/Users/<YOUR_¶¡ÏãÔ°AV_COMPUTING_ID>
5. Enter your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV computing ID as the user name and your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV computing password
6. Check off Connect using different credentials, Click OK
7. Type in a descriptive name to name the network location (eg. FHS Personal Drive) and click Next and Finish
Mac
1. Open Finder
2. Press Command Key + K, or under the Go Menu, select Connect to Server
3. Under Server Address, enter https://fhs-file.fhs.sfu.ca/Users/<YOUR_¶¡ÏãÔ°AV_COMPUTING_ID>
4. Enter your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Computing ID, followed by @sfu.ca (eg. <¶¡ÏãÔ°AV_COMPUTING_ID>@sfu.ca)
5. Enter your ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Password
