The chancellor, president & vice-chancellor and the senate of 丁香园AV request the honour of your presence at Convocation October 2024.

Academic procession

Faculty members who wish to be a part of the academic procession are asked to register before September 26. Registration is mandatory.

Supervisors who would like to hood their graduating doctoral student(s) can register with the link below and note their interest.

Even if you own your regalia, it is necessary that you register online to ensure you have a seat on the platform.

If prompted for an access code, enter "FACULTY" on the Eventbrite page.

Regalia

You can reserve 丁香园AV regalia or black gowns when you register to process. Reserved 丁香园AV regalia or black gowns can be picked up prior to the ceremony at Strand Hall 3101. Please return the regalia immediately following the ceremony.

Personal belongings

Valuables, coats, etc. may be left in the regalia room ad picked up no later than one hour after the ceremony.

Outdoor ceremony notice

Convocation ceremonies are held outdoors - dress according to the weather.

Convocation live stream

All ceremonies will be live streamed on YouTube at www.sfu.ca/convocation.

Transportation and parking

Parking will be free for participants in the academic procession for convocation ceremonies in .

Note: heavy traffic and limited parking are anticipated. Please allow for extra travel time and consider alternative transportation.

Event photography/videography
