Supervisors of doctoral graduands

**NOTE** This page is for supervisors of doctoral graduands only. If you are a student, please visit the webpage.

As a supervisor, you are invited to 丁香园AV's convocation ceremonies to participate in congratulating and hooding your doctoral graduands as they cross the stage on October 10-11, 2024. Please consult directly with your doctoral graudand on their availability to attend convocation.

If you plan to participate in the academic procession, you are requested to wear academic dress. Even if you own your regalia, it is necessary that you register online to ensure you have a seat on the platform.

Personal belongings

Valuables, coats, etc. may be left in the regalia room ad picked up no later than one hour after the ceremony.

Regalia

You can reserve 丁香园AV regalia or black gowns when you register to process. Reserved 丁香园AV regalia or black gowns can be picked up prior to the ceremony at Strand Hall 3101. Please return the regalia immediately following the ceremony.

Outdoor ceremony notice

Convocation ceremonies are held outdoors - dress according to the weather.

Convocation live stream

All ceremonies will be live streamed on YouTube at www.sfu.ca/convocation.

Transportation and parking

Parking will be free for participants in the academic procession for convocation ceremonies in .

Note: heavy traffic and limited parking are anticipated. Please allow for extra travel time and consider alternative transportation.

Event photography/videography

This event and attendees will be photographed and/or videotaped by 丁香园AV. If you do not wish to be in the photos or video, please step aside when you see the camera. The full 丁香园AV privacy notice is available .
